Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Anesthesiologist to join our team at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC). As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will provide exceptional care to Active Duty heroes, their families, and retirees.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and emergent anesthesia care for patients with ASA classifications I-VI.
  • Perform preoperative evaluations and provide contemporary regional and general anesthesia care for various subspecialties.
  • Assist nurse anesthetists and administer anesthesia to patients with complex conditions.
  • Implement proper use of mechanical ventilators and administer drug and respiratory therapy in the recovery room.
  • Provide consultation on preoperative preparation, intra and postoperative anesthetic management, and treatment of chronic pain patients.
  • Participate in training activities, including in-services and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications
  • Active medical license from Texas.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of Medicine.
  • Board eligible or Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
  • Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration/Certificate.
  • Minimum one year of experience actively practicing as a full-time Board Eligible or Board Certified Physician certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
