Position Overview

As a vital member of our team, the Housekeeper will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in resident units, communal spaces, and support areas as assigned. This role is essential in ensuring that we meet and exceed the quality standards set by Provision Living Associates, LLC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and thorough cleaning of all designated areas, furnishings, and fixtures according to a structured cleaning schedule.
  • Perform sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in various locations, including resident apartments, restrooms, utility rooms, common areas, nursing stations, and dining facilities.
  • Clean and sanitize countertops in kitchens and restrooms within resident apartments, ensuring a hygienic environment.
  • Dust and wipe down all furniture, baseboards, window blinds, and entryways to maintain a pristine appearance.
  • Change bed linens (excluding bedspreads and quilts), launder them, and replace with fresh linens, ensuring that towels and bath linens are also properly washed and returned.
  • Manage waste disposal in accordance with sanitation protocols, ensuring all trash is removed and disposed of correctly.
  • Report any observations regarding structural or equipment issues, defects, or potential hazards for prompt repair by submitting a work order.
  • Utilize and store cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively, assisting with bio-hazard clean-up as directed.
  • Adhere to universal precautions and other specified safety measures within the resident environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights at all times, promptly reporting any suspected violations to management.
  • Complete necessary documentation for accidents, incidents, and monthly infection control logs in line with facility policies.
  • Communicate any changes in resident status to the Director of Nursing or other relevant staff members.
  • Other related duties may be assigned as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not entail supervisory duties.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to work collaboratively and establish effective relationships with team members.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality customer service and hospitality to residents, associates, and visitors.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while paying attention to detail.
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability for achieving results.
  • Dependable with a robust work ethic.
  • Appreciation for seniors and an understanding of the aging process.

Travel Requirements

No travel is required for this position.

Physical Requirements

To be successful in this role, the employee must be prepared to work with residents who may exhibit challenging behaviors. The physical demands outlined below are essential for job performance, and reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities. The role involves frequent activities such as sitting, standing, walking, using hands for handling and feeling, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasionally, the employee may need to crouch and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities should include the capacity to see both near and far distances.
