Talascend is currently seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to support the readiness of our fleet vehicles.

Summary: We are looking for a qualified individual to perform maintenance, repairs, and fleet reworks. In this role, you will be focused on ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities:
1. Perform all repairs according to work instructions and document results.
2. Conduct multi-point inspections and system checks, making recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of fleet vehicles.
3. Perform high-quality repairs and inspections efficiently and accurately.
4. Document requested repairs and findings in a specialized service platform.
5. Inspect and test all work performed as a Quality Control measure as soon as jobs are completed.
6. Maintain an excellent service experience for internal teams and business partners.
7. Assist with parts inventory location and organization.
8. Operate all equipment in the Service Center in a safe and productive manner, following client Safety Standards for the use of personal protective equipment.

Qualifications:
1. Extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
2. Minimum of 5 years of technician experience.
3. Clean/excellent driving record.
4. Reliable self-starter roll-up-the-sleeves work ethos.
5. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables.
6. Team player.
7. Excellent written and verbal skills.
8. Must be honest, responsible, and an outstanding communicator.

Bonus Qualifications:
1. Diagnostic troubleshooting experience with OEM systems, high-level experience working with HV systems and hybrid drivetrains.
2. Ability to operate comfortably within and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.
3. Diagnostic experience with embedded modules, self-driving systems, and sensor stacks.
4. Knowledgeable regarding optimization of fleet maintenance and OEM maintenance items.
5. Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair, ASE certification, and/or manufacturer certification.
