Leading Defense Manufacturer Seeks Procurement Specialist

Position Overview:

Aston Carter is looking for a dedicated Procurement Specialist to enhance our supply chain operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless acquisition of goods and services necessary for our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers for essential goods and services.
  • Develop and nurture strong business relationships with suppliers.
  • Implement controls to guarantee the availability of supplies while minimizing costs without compromising quality and delivery timelines.
  • Facilitate and expedite deliveries to align with operational needs.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements covering pricing, quality standards, delivery schedules, and expectations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and the Operations team to stay updated on product details and delivery schedules.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring alignment with supply requests.
  • Review invoices for accuracy concerning delivered goods.
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain a positive flow of goods.
  • Participate in meetings to ensure contractual terms are beneficial for the organization.
  • Work closely with the operations and production planning teams to understand procurement requirements.
