Neurology Assistant Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Neurology Assistant Professor to join our team at the University of Kansas Medical Center. As a key member of our academic faculty, you will be responsible for teaching, research, and clinical service.
Key Responsibilities- See patients in the outpatient neurology neuromuscular clinic.
- On occasion, cover the academic teaching service in the inpatient hospital unit.
- Supervise neurology residents and fellows, including supervision of trainees in the hospital and in the outpatient clinic.
- Teach medical students on the inpatient and outpatient services and provide occasional lectures.
- Pursue scholarly activity in the areas of neuromuscular medicine disease.
- Other duties as assigned by Department Chair.
- MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent to an MD.
- Eligible for Kansas medical license.
- Completion of neurology residency training and neuromuscular medicine fellowship training.
- Excellent communication skills.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, health expense accounts, employer-paid life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and various additional voluntary insurance plans. Paid time off, including vacation and sick leave, begins accruing upon hire, plus nine paid holidays. One paid discretionary day is available after six months of employment, and paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, military service, and parental leave is available after 12 months of employment. A retirement program with a generous employer contribution and additional voluntary retirement programs (457 or 403b) are available.
