Truck Loader

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Truck Loader to join our team at Runnings in Rome, NY. As a key member of our Distribution Center team, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading products into and from dry van trailers, including flatbeds.

Key Responsibilities

Load and unload trailers, including flatbeds, in a safe and efficient manner
Maintain proper trailer weight distribution while maximizing trailer cubes/space
Perform piece counts to verify accuracy
Scan merchandise into inventory using scanning equipment
Scan product and pallets to truck IDs in an accurate manner
Print price tags and price merchandise accordingly
Break down merchandise into smaller quantities for shipping to retail locations
Assist with floor-loaded shipments, both inbound and outbound
Responsible for accurate allocation of quantities
Submit packing slips and freight bills as necessary
Cross-check quantities to packing slips, making necessary notations when needed
Load merchandise onto proper pallets, shrink wrap when necessary
Properly secure shipments to prevent product and trailer damage
Practice safety in the workplace by using safe work habits with a safety-first mindset

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior warehouse experience preferred
Prior forklift experience required
1 year prior shipping and receiving experience preferred
