Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited program of nursing.
- Working knowledge of oncology services and radiation therapy.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Alabama or a multi-state license in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- One of the following certifications: Oncology, Radiation, or Healthcare.
