Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver catastrophe modeling and analytical insights to senior management and various teams, including corporate risk, actuarial, and finance.
  • Provide timely updates and loss projections related to catastrophic events, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Assist in critical processes such as treaty and catastrophe reinsurance placements, as well as the development of portfolio analytics and annual budgeting for catastrophe risks.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in catastrophe risk modeling within the insurance sector.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously while managing multiple time-sensitive tasks.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a solid grasp of probability and statistics.
  • Experience in handling large datasets, with the capability to analyze, process, visualize, and convey complex quantitative information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Independent thinking and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as VBA or SQL is advantageous.
  • Experience with catastrophe modeling software, particularly AIR (Touchstone), is preferred.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.
