Job Summary

Emanate Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Speech Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for conducting clinical speech and language pathology services, including patient evaluation, interpretation of evaluation results, and intervention relating to various diagnoses for pediatric, child, adult, and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately assess and treat language/speech and swallowing impairments resulting from neurological insult/disease, developmental disabilities and delays, impaired oral motor abilities or laryngeal functions, dehydration/malnutrition or change in anatomy secondary to trauma or surgery.
  • Communicate with physicians and other referral sources, and provide clinical guidance to non-licensed personnel.
  • Work with various healthcare team members to deliver world-class healthcare services.
  • Administer contrast media, under the direct supervision of the attending radiologist, during videofluoroscopy in order to observe, collect data, and measure parameters of swallowing.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 50 hours of continuing education must be accrued in a specialty area(s) to maintain status.
  • Five years of active licensed clinical SLP experience is required, with competence in 2-3 of the following areas: Bedside Swallow Evaluation, Videofluoroscopy, Blue Dye Swallow Evaluation.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Current California licensure as an Speech Language Pathologist, BLS Required, and Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) through ASHA are mandatory.
