POSITION SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee production initiatives, safety standards, and operational workflows.
  • Assess production timelines, quality assurance challenges, and staffing requirements on a daily basis.
  • Evaluate production data to pinpoint performance patterns and improvement opportunities.
  • Supervise production to fulfill delivery obligations.
  • Formulate standard operating procedures, productivity assessments, and training initiatives.
  • Implement cross-training for workforce adaptability.
  • Convey expectations and improvement areas to team members.
  • Authorize timekeeping records and assist with production scheduling.
  • Uphold workplace regulations and provide guidance for performance enhancement.
  • Encourage team members to meet departmental objectives.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on recruitment and performance evaluations.
  • Support special projects and daily operational activities.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

Responsible for the overall direction and oversight of the production department. Duties include recruitment, training, task delegation, performance assessments, and issue resolution.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a minimum of five years of relevant experience is required. Bilingual abilities are preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Understanding of business operations.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS

Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regular standing and walking, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Exposure to moving machinery, occasional fumes, and elevated noise levels. Reasonable accommodations are available.
