Program Overview
Youth Villages' Residential Treatment programs cater to children facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
Our residential facilities provide a structured yet liberating environment for intensive treatment, enabling children and their families to recognize, understand, and address their unique needs while developing essential skills for success in less restrictive settings.
We operate three distinct types of facilities—Intensive Residential Centers, Open Campuses, and Group Homes—all located in Tennessee and Georgia, utilizing the Re-Education of Emotionally Disturbed Children therapy model (Re-Ed).
Position Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the installation, upkeep, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and both plumbing and electrical systems within a commercial setting. This role also includes interior and exterior painting as required.
Qualifications:
Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Proficient and experienced in applying paint and coatings both internally and externally.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in general maintenance is required.
- Willingness to travel is essential.
- Experience in running telephone and data lines; setting up cubicles is preferred.
- Background in electrical, HVAC, and plumbing is advantageous.
- Must be available for on-call duties every 6 weeks, including nights and weekends.
- Knowledge in painting, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing is preferred.
- A mechanical aptitude and general skill knowledge in all areas of structural and mechanical maintenance are necessary.

Must be prepared to be on call every six weeks.
