About the Role

The Finance Regulatory Engagement & Oversight Analyst plays a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of regulatory engagement and examination management. In this capacity, you will identify, track, communicate, and escalate regulatory activities, trends, risks, and feedback. This position demands strong leadership, exceptional diplomacy, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Contributes to the oversight of Citi's Finance global regulatory agenda, including:

  • Central coordination of Citi's Finance global regulatory agenda to manage and support on-site or remote examination management, ad-hoc meetings, and information requests.
  • Ensuring adherence to standards related to the management of regulatory interactions, including examination management, regulatory meetings, and information requests.
  • Managing escalations concerning regulatory matters and deliverables, providing support to ensure proper awareness and communication to relevant stakeholders, including regulators and senior management.
  • Assisting key stakeholders in drafting regulatory responses and coordinating feedback among internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Collaborating as part of a team to manage the regulatory engagement lifecycle from initial correspondence to remediation and issue resolution.
  • Providing essential information for updates and newsletters that deliver clear, concise, and balanced updates to senior forums and Citi internal governance committees regarding Citi Finance's regulatory commitments and engagements.
  • Coordinating across Citi Finance functions to develop cohesive and comprehensive responses to regulatory inquiries in a timely manner.

Process and Controls:

Working with teams to develop and implement best practices and controls to manage Citi Finance's regulatory deliverables, including regulatory meetings, submissions, and commitments.

  • Supporting execution efforts related to regulatory initiatives, actively monitoring change control, actions, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Driving ongoing consistency and alignment with enterprise regulatory engagement standards, coordinating deliverables across Finance business functions.
  • Performing additional duties and functions as assigned.
  • Exercising independence of judgment and autonomy.
  • Assessing risk appropriately when making business decisions, with particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
