Merchandiser III

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandiser III to join our team at Archer Daniels Midland Company. This is a full-time, salary-exempt position responsible for procurement of raw materials to achieve optimum financial results.

This intermediate position within the North American Carbohydrate Solutions group will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with both external and internal customers, including the handling of logistics, accounting, and other customer-related issues.

• Procure raw materials to achieve optimum financial results
• Build and maintain relationships with external and internal customers
• Handle logistics, accounting, and other customer-related issues
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with end-users, suppliers, and internal customers
• Strategically seek out new business opportunities to enhance company assets

• University degree in agriculture or business (i.e. economics, finance, accounting)
• Minimum of four (4) years' experience in commodity merchandising
• Demonstrated capacity to excel within high-risk, fast-paced work environments
• Proven ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisions
• Demonstrated negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the domestic and international trade
