Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to a culture of excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve seamless transitions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, utilizing sound nursing judgment and evidence-based practices.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel, maintaining standards of professional nursing and promoting a culture of respect and teamwork.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, applying knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program, with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferably in a large academic, Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
  • Ability to improve job performance through continuing education and professional development.
