About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join our team at Allina Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our diagnostic imaging team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between physicians, clinics, and service departments, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Assist technologists in delivering patient care, including screening patients, transporting and positioning patients, and distributing completed exams to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Provide image and data management, ensuring secure and appropriate access to patient information and documenting image data release in the electronic medical record.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining electronic files, distributing patient reports, and coordinating information flow between patients and clinics.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous patient care or medical terminology experience a plus.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required by completion of orientation within 30 Days.

Physical Demands:

  • Medium Work*: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently.
