Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Technician I to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our fleet operations team, you will be responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on our vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable transportation of our products.

Responsibilities
  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance under the guidance of senior technicians to maximize the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency of our fleet.
  • Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and converter dollies, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform quality maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions on engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems to manufacturer specifications.
  • Document all work performed on work orders using a complaint, cause, and correction format.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training preferred.
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
  • Basic knowledge and skill of all vehicle systems and components.
  • Basic knowledge and skill in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems on all equipment.
Working Conditions

The associate will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to wet, hot, and cold conditions. The associate may be required to work non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
