The annual salary for this position is expected to be within the range of $104,090 - $141,382, based on industry standards and location considerations.
About the Role:
As a Special Education Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective special education programs, collaborating with teachers and staff to create inclusive learning environments, and fostering relationships with parents and community members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) for students with special needs
- Providing professional development opportunities for teachers and staff on special education best practices
- Collaborating with district administrators to ensure alignment with district goals and initiatives
- Maintaining accurate records and reports on special education programming and outcomes
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Master's degree in Special Education or a related field, along with a California Administrative Services Credential. A Doctorate degree and bilingual/biliterate skills in Spanish are highly desirable.
Additionally, candidates should have:
- Proven experience in special education leadership and program development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
