Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician II to join our team at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. As a key member of our Central Sterile Processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols
  • Inspect and clean instruments to ensure they are free from debris and contamination
  • Assemble and package instruments for sterilization
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment
  • Monitor and document sterilization processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely delivery of sterilized instruments and equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of Central Processing Technology Course required
  • One year Central Supply/Central Processing experience preferred
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (C.R.C.S.T.) required
