Critical Care Nurse

At the University of Maryland Medical System, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job SummaryThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
- Participate in unit governance and contribute to the development of strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research in critical care nursing
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland or eligibility to practice due to Compact state agreements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of critical care or emergency department nursing experience
- Extensive knowledge of vasoactive medications and drip titration
- Both BLS and ACLS certifications
- Membership of a professional organization (AACN, ENA, etc.)
- Advanced certifications (CCRN, TCRN, CEN, ATCN, TNCC, ATLS, etc.)
- Experience with invasive monitoring (arterial lines, EVDs, etc.)
