About the Role:

  • Design and develop cutting-edge mechanical systems and products for various applications, including advanced mission payloads and electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems.
  • Apply engineering principles and practices to develop new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, such as CATIA V5/V6, to design and analyze mechanical systems.
  • Obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with CAE tools, such as CATIA V5/V6.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
  • Understanding of engineering simulation, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
  • Experience with Commercial Derivative Aircraft.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
