Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Live Hanger to join our team at Peco Foods. As a Live Hanger, you will be responsible for hanging live birds on a moving shackle on a conveyor belt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hang live birds according to animal welfare guidelines and place them in a moving shackle.
  • Rotate along different positions on the live hang production line.
  • Meet or exceed the production rate of 25 birds per minute after training.
  • Operate the cage dumper as cross-trained.
  • Comply with all plant policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to the immediate supervisor or plant management.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and hang live birds weighing up to 100% of the workday.
  • Stand and walk 100% of the workday.
  • Perform repetitive motion tasks.
  • Work in a hot and dusty environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience as a live hanger.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
