Machinist Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machinist Trainee to join our team at Matheson Tri-Gas. As a Machinist Trainee, you will be responsible for learning and performing various machine shop duties, including material handling, lathe and mill operation, and other related tasks.

• Learn and perform basic machine shop duties, including material handling and equipment operation.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Develop and improve skills in lathe and mill operation, as well as other machine shop tasks.
• Work in a team environment to achieve production goals and objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

• Associate's Degree in a related field, such as machining or engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in a machine shop or related field.
• Ability to follow instructions and training.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

The Machinist Trainee will work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various machinery and equipment. The position requires the ability to work in a team environment and to follow instructions and training.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
