Utility Billing Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: This role involves providing essential technical and administrative support under the general oversight of the Finance Director and direct supervision of the Customer Service Manager. The incumbent will assist in utility billing and maintain financial records pertinent to the utility billing operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist customers at the Utility Drive-Up Window during assigned shifts.
- Serve as a substitute Utility Clerk at the front counter when other clerks are unavailable.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- An Associate's degree in accounting, business, or a related discipline is required.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of two years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or billing, or a suitable combination of education and experience is necessary.
PREFERENTIAL CONSIDERATION:
- Candidates with experience in Caselle Software Utility Billing will be given preference.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- A valid Utah Driver's License is required.
COMPENSATION:
- The hourly wage ranges from $19.00 to $26.00, depending on experience. This position does not include benefits.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, with 5-hour shifts scheduled between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Occasional early morning shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. may be required for coverage or project assistance.
