Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a contract position at a Special Education center in Burbank, IL. As a school-based SLP, you will work with K-12 students who require individualized support to meet their speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs, presenting evaluation results and proposing Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals at IEP meetings.
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and other stakeholders.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
  • Provide reports of student progress to parents.
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders.
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License, issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • Professional Educators' License (PEL), issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Illinois Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings.
  • Professionalism and accountability.
