About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate patient care and ensure the well-being of our furry friends.
  • Deliver exceptional client education and care, addressing their concerns and needs.
  • Assist with venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, and diagnostics to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Collect and process lab samples, prepare medications, and administer them safely and effectively.
  • Participate in surgical preparations, assist with procedures, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Provide dental care, medication administration, and safe patient handling and restraint.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring timely and efficient access to patient information.
