Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Cottonwood Healthcare. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed occupational therapists in providing occupational therapy services to residents, including screening, evaluation, and treatment planning.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to optimize their skills and functionality.
  • Implement treatment plans under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists, using a variety of techniques and modalities to promote resident independence and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for residents.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress and treatment plans, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical expertise and stay current with best practices in occupational therapy.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an ACOTE-accredited school of occupational therapy and a valid occupational therapist assistant state license in good standing.
  • Previous therapy experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing exceptional resident care and service.
