Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist III to join our Sleep Laboratory team on a night shift basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing advanced sleep testing procedures, training new personnel, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced sleep testing procedures, including EEGs and Endarterectomy EEGs, in accordance with state and federal law and health care regulatory standards.
- Train and supervise Sleep Laboratory Technicians and Trainees, ensuring they meet the highest standards of patient care.
- Recognize and eliminate artifacts, as well as identify and treat sleep disorders, using your knowledge of common sleep disorders and treatment options.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate records, including patient information, test results, and equipment calibrations, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Sleep Center Clinical Manager, Patient Care Coordinator, and Medical Director to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.
- Associate degree with five years of experience as an RPSGT or 10 years of experience as an RPSGT or dual credentialing and practicing in at least two disciplines, including RPSGT and another credential.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine to practice Polysomnography.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision, with minimal errors and maximum productivity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
