Responsibilities- Teach Fire Technology courses to students
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Fire Technology program
- Associate degree in Fire Science or a related field
- Five years of experience as a paid Firefighter or 10 years as a volunteer Firefighter
- Required licenses and certifications include Texas Commission on Fire Protection: Basic Structural Fire Fighter, Fire Instructor I, Fire Instructor II, and Field Examiner
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Science or a related field
- Teaching experience in Basic Fire Academy Courses at a Fire Academy or Fire Department
- Five years of paid experience as a Texas Fire Fighter
- Ten years of volunteer experience as a Texas Fire Fighter
