Job Title: Advanced Practice Providers

Ega Associates, LLC is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at our Community Based Outpatient Clinic.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider to provide professional clinical services under the direction of our Community Based Outpatient Clinic Primary Care Provider.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive, integrated primary health care addressing a majority of the client's health care needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Assess, treat, and evaluate a comprehensive range of health care problems, including emergency measures, preventive health, and patient education.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments, order, conduct, and interpret laboratory, diagnostic studies, and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of current practice, act as a role model and mentor to others, and participate in professional activities at local and state levels.
  • Provide leadership to the team, including shared delegation of appropriate care and care processes to appropriate team members.
  • Review available clinical and performance data with the team, focusing on continuous improvement of critical team processes.
  • Ensure same-day access for face-to-face, telehealth, and telephone care visits during regular clinic hours.
  • Collaborate with PACT staff to develop personal health plans that incorporate care management and care coordination appropriate to the patient's needs.
  • Keep patients informed of their plan of care, including lab and diagnostic test results as needed.
  • Provide health educational materials, resources, and education to patients and their families for informational purposes and in accordance with their need and learning capacity.
  • Comply with all federal, state, local, Joint Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Veteran Affairs, and Subcontractor safety and operational regulations, directives, and standards.
  • Participate in the ongoing Performance Improvement Program between the VAMC and EGA Performance Excellence program, including regularly scheduled peer reviews.
  • Ensure all required reports and clinical information is completed in an accurate, timely, and complete fashion.
  • Participate in staff development programs.
  • Perform other clinical duties assigned within limits of privileges.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information and supporting patients' privacy, rights, and safety.
  • Aid in management/coordination of the CBOC's day-to-day activity.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be willing to be trained in and perform Women's Health exams.
  • Must be able to pass a VA background check.
  • Must hold BLS certification through the AHA or MTN.
  • Have proof of annual TB clearance and current flu vaccination or declination.
  • Must possess a master's degree from a program accredited by the NLNAC or CCNE and maintain full and current certification as a nurse practitioner from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body as a Nurse Practitioner in either Adult Health or Family Practice.
  • Authorization for prescriptive authority is required.
  • Three years of clinical nursing experience is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year clinical experience as a CRNP is required (three (3) years preferred).
  • Experience in outpatient care in a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine environment is preferred.
  • Must be a graduate of a training program which is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of PA (ARC-PA) or one of its predecessor organizations.
  • PAs must have a Master's degree in any discipline or a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with one year of experience as a PA.
  • PAs must have successfully passed the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE).
  • Authorization for prescriptive authority is required.
Working Conditions:

Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Required to respond to any medical emergency within the clinic, where a fast walk or jog may be necessary to provide assistance.
