Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing administrative support to commercial lenders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial institution products and services, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and compile loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare new loan requests for submission to loan processing, reviewing files to ensure data meets established standards.
  • Process documentation of loans and extensions, closing and preparing loans for booking, and computing payment and interest.
  • Perform pre-funding reviews, closing loans if necessary, and funding loans.
  • Prepare loan packages for shipping and booking, and pull maturity and past due reports.
  • Inform officers of required documentation for loan renewals, and assist in clearing collateral and credit exceptions.
  • Process draw requests, loan payments, and transfers, and handle loan research issues and questions.
  • Forward documents to loan ops for scanning, and complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on-the-job education in a specific skill area, plus 5 years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and understand documents, write routine reports, and effectively communicate information in person-to-person and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, and perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.
  • Ability to utilize common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions, and deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Notary Public certification.
  • Intermediate Word Processing/Typing skills, and basic skills in 10-Key, Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Contact Management, Database, and Spreadsheet software.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a somewhat disagreeable environment, with continuous exposure to noise, intermittent standing, and occasional pushing, carrying, or lifting.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
