Key Responsibilities:- Accurately perform final verification of a large volume of prescription orders.
- Lead a team of technicians to ensure metrics are met and all products are delivered to patients in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide counseling to patients regarding their medications to support appropriate and effective medical therapies.
- Consult with prescribing practitioners to help ensure accurate and appropriate medication use.
- Review medication orders and evaluate their appropriateness and completeness.
- Comply with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- 2+ years related experience.
- Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
