Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a standards-aligned, Tier I science curriculum that meets the diverse needs of all students. This includes designing engaging and effective lesson plans, utilizing data-driven approaches to assess and enhance student learning and achievement, and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Additionally, the teacher will collaborate with grade-level teams to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience for students and participate in professional learning communities and school-wide initiatives to contribute to the overall success of Jefferson RISE.

Skill Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the Middle/High School Science Teacher should possess excellent communication skills, a high level of personal organization and planning, technological proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as other web-based applications. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a proven track record of student achievement and/or growth and commitment to the mission and organizational success of Jefferson RISE. Furthermore, they should exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit, personal and professional integrity, and be a team player who is flexible and willing to jump in when needed. Finally, the teacher must be authorized to work in the United States and have the ability to engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends and research.
