Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Conduct surgical counts to ensure accurate inventory and prevent errors.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain an efficient schedule and ensure seamless communication.
- Participate in room turnover, terminal cleaning, and preparation of OR rooms for subsequent procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program required.
- CST certification required; can be obtained within one year of employment.
- BLS certification required; can be obtained upon hire.
- One plus year of surgical technologist experience preferred.
