Job Summary

Sunbelt Rentals, a leading equipment rental company, is seeking a skilled Mechanic/Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and specialty lines equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanic work with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job.
