Job Summary

Black Hawk College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Computer Science Professor to join our faculty team. As a Computer Science Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Computer Science, developing and implementing curriculum, and contributing to the growth and development of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students in Computer Science courses, including programming languages, software applications, and database management.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the department.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the department, including participating in departmental meetings and committees.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in Computer Science.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement interdisciplinary courses and programs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Two years of recent programming experience in business using current programming languages.
  • Ability to program in the computer programming languages currently being taught at the college.
  • Knowledge of software applications, web development, and database management.
  • Experience in teaching Computer Science is preferred.
  • Demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.
