Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician Apprentice

US0450 Sysco Alaska, Division of Sysco Seattle, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician Apprentice to join their team. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in preventive maintenance inspections, repairs, and diagnostics for heavy-duty vehicles.
This role requires no prior experience, but you must be willing to learn and take on new challenges. You will work closely with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in the field.
The successful candidate will have a Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent, a High school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license (CDL Preferred). They will also possess basic computer skills, knowledge of vehicle systems, and electrical system diagnosis and repair.
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on location and industry standards. This is a full-time position, working non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting experienced technicians in performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs
- Learning and developing skills in diagnosis and repair of complex vehicle systems
- Working with a variety of equipment and tools to perform tasks efficiently and effectively
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a safe and clean work environment
