Echo Cardiographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Echo Cardiographer to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and communicating results of echo cardiography examinations using sonography.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate program activities to ensure consistent delivery of quality patient-centered care and efficient operations in support of hospital goals and objectives.
- Lead the development, implementation, ongoing assessment and improvement of Cardiography programs, patient-care protocols, standards of care, policies and procedures.
- Perform all requested Echo Cardiography examinations as ordered by the attending physician. Prepare preliminary reports and contact referring physicians as required.
- Engage with both internal and external partners to advance the SPMC mission and vision. Participate in professional groups/associations. Participate in or lead SPMC work groups, projects and committees as assigned.
- Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
- Graduate of a formal Echo Cardiography Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required.
- Three years of experience required; five years of experience preferred. Experience should include routine stress and non-stress examinations.
- Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty(ies) as appropriate.
- Advanced working knowledge of sonography practices. Demonstrated competence in clinical skills; ability to perform, evaluate and teach required sonography tasks.
- Ability to cultivate effective partnerships and work in collaboration with providers, other health care professionals, caregivers, patients and community members.
The Echo Cardiographer will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and high levels of patient care. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
The Echo Cardiographer will be required to lift up to 35 pounds, carry up to 35 pounds, push/pull up to 35 pounds, sit, stand, walk, bend/stoop, and be exposed to bloodborne pathogens.
The Echo Cardiographer will be required to work Days, Mon-Fri, 8 Hour shifts.
The Echo Cardiographer will be required to be currently active and have a minimum of 3 years of experience.
The Echo Cardiographer will be required to have a minimum of 40 guaranteed hours per week.
The Echo Cardiographer will be required to have a specialty type of Diagnostic Imaging and a sub specialty of Echo Technologist.
The Echo Cardiographer will be required to have a general certification of BLS/BCLS and an allied health certification of ARDMS(AB)ARDMS(BR)ARDMS(NE)ARDMS(OB).
The Echo Cardiographer will be required to be bilingual in English.
The Echo Cardiographer will be required to use the EPIC EMR system.
The Echo Cardiographer will be required to have holiday coverage.
