Lodging Guest Services Agent NF02

The U.S. Marine Corps is seeking a skilled Lodging Guest Services Agent NF02 to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a memorable experience for our visitors.
Key Responsibilities
• Accept and process guest reservations via telephone and in person, adhering to established standards and procedures.
• Register and check out guests, assign rooms, issue and control keys, present guest folios, collect payments, and maintain records using the property management system.
• Provide guests with information and advice about local activities and tourist attractions, engaging them in a friendly and hospitable manner and seeking opportunities to exceed expectations.
• Handle cash and manage a change fund, answering telephone or operating the telephone system, receiving, sorting, and distributing mail, and advising the manager of any maintenance or guest problems.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance teams on work orders and managing out-of-order rooms, completing housekeeping reports, records of rooms occupied, and guest accounts.
• Sell retail and sundry merchandise, restock the shop, and present merchandise in a neat and orderly fashion, conducting monthly inventory and receiving product and making recommendations on reorders.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and take ownership of the appearance and cleanliness of the guest lobby, removing clutter and debris as required.
• Work any shift as required, including overnight shifts, and provide World-Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy, assisting customers and communicating positively in a friendly manner.
• Acknowledge customers, smile, and make eye contact, ask questions to determine, verify, and solve problems, check for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services, and take action to solve problems quickly.
• Adhere to safety regulations and standards, using required safety equipment and observing safe work procedures, promptly reporting any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
• Adhere to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Requirements
• Six months of experience operating a computer is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling techniques and basic math is required.
• This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
Working Conditions
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with guests and colleagues, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy at all times. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and effectively, and provide exceptional customer service.
