Our comprehensive team comprises 5 Cardiac Surgeons, 25 cardiologists, and 16 advanced practice clinicians, delivering innovative treatments for cardiovascular diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our experienced Cardiac Surgery team, who perform close to 1,000 procedures annually. The Center also provides advanced heart failure services including placement and management of left-ventricular assist devices.
- Contribute to our status as a regional referral center for patients throughout Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and southeastern Pennsylvania for cardiac surgery procedures.
- Perform a range of surgery procedures, including coronary artery bypass, aortic and mitral valve repair and replacement, TAVR, TEVAR, Lead extraction, Mitraclip, ECMO, VAD, complex aortic procedures, and robotic coronary procedures.
- Participate in our dedicated 18-bed combined cardiology/cardiac surgery ICU staffed 24/7 with dedicated Cardiac Surgery Intensivists, Cardiac Intensivists, experienced surgical advanced practice team, and ICU nurses and 10-bed Cardiac Step-Down Unit.
- Be part of our Structural heart room with dedicated Cardiac Surgery block time for these procedures in multidisciplinary partnerships with cardiology and vascular surgery.
