Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stylist-in-Training to join our team at Supercuts. As a Stylist-in-Training, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced salon environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all clients.
  • Assist in the delivery of salon services, including cutting, styling, and coloring hair.
  • Market and grow the business by promoting and selling services and products.
  • Control expenses and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including answering telephones, stocking shelves, and sweeping hair.
Requirements
  • Must graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license(s) to perform salon services within or before 90 days of hire-date.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic salon environment and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Good time management skills, good judgment, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Computer knowledge, including point-of-sale systems and data entry.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs. to stock retail shelves.
  • Continuous standing throughout the day.
  • Continuous reaching, alternating between shoulder level and above shoulder level height to stock shelves.
  • Occasional pushing and pulling to move styling chair.
  • Continuous exposure to various chemicals and fragrances used in performing services and styling hair.

Please note that this is a temporary 90-day position designed to integrate an unlicensed, future stylist into the salon workplace and to help them learn the business. Upon completion of the 90-day training period, the Stylist-in-Training may be eligible for a promotion to the Stylist position, subject to meeting certain requirements.
