Position Overview

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the planning, execution, and assessment of a variety of respiratory therapy procedures and diagnostic evaluations. This role includes maintaining accurate documentation of all respiratory care activities in the appropriate records. The practitioner will also be tasked with inspecting, testing, and ensuring the proper functioning of respiratory care equipment, as well as managing patient billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer a comprehensive range of respiratory care treatments and assessments.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient care and equipment usage.
  • Ensure all respiratory equipment is functioning correctly through regular inspections and testing.
  • Handle patient billing and related administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program or equivalent education/experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program in lieu of an associate degree along with one year of relevant experience.
  • Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • National Provider PALS certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • Possession of a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner License for the state of practice upon hire.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the field, which may include the clinical portion of the training program.
