Aspirus Wausau Hospital is currently seeking a Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist to enhance our dedicated team within the Cardiac Rehab department.

Position Overview:
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive clinical care to patients enrolled in our rehabilitation programs.

Work Schedule:
Part-Time, .6 FTE, totaling 48 hours per pay period, primarily during daytime hours.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology or a Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
- Advanced studies in cardiovascular and pulmonary physiology, rehabilitation techniques, exercise testing, and ECG interpretation.

Preferred qualifications include:
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, cardiovascular care, and health education for both individuals and groups.
- Experience working with diabetic or chronic disease populations is advantageous.

Certification by the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Specialist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist is required within one year of employment.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire is mandatory. All clinical staff in designated roles must maintain BLS training through recognized programs.

Additionally, completion of the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Course or the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider Course, including practical skills sessions, is necessary.

Successful candidates will demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication skills.
