**Responsibilities**

  • Supervise and coordinate unit staffing to ensure effective and efficient delivery of patient care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing and support staff to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments to ensure population-appropriate patient care.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
  • May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff.

**Requirements**

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.
