Job Title: Deputy Country Director for Korea

ANSER is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Country Director to support our work with the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the United States - Korea Security Cooperation (SC) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily activities between U.S. defense agencies, U.S. defense industry, U.S. Government and Korean military
  • Develop Congressional Notifications for FMS cases
  • Orchestrate action on FMS programs to advance the US-Korea air force relationship
  • Maintain strong relationships with key authorities from U.S. and Korean defense agencies, ministerial-level organizations, and military components
  • Event planning for trade events and senior leader engagement
  • Track progress and efficacy of FMS cases
  • Lead program management reviews and delegations to Korea
  • Host foreign partners for U.S. visits
  • Track correspondence between USAF and Korea Air Force
  • Compose written responses to Korea Air Force inquiries
  • Engage with Korea Embassy in Washington DC
  • 20% domestic and international travel
Requirements:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience with either the U.S. Air Force, Navy, PACOM, PACAF, or DoD, international relations
  • Three years of experience with USAF Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and utilizing standard computer applications
  • Experience working F-16 or F-35 programs
  • Proven excellence in written communication
  • Project or Program Management Experience
  • Experience with DoD acquisition policies, laws, regulations, and guidance
  • Must be comfortable working in Korea and foreign travel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Event planning experience
  • 5 years experience on the F-16 and F-35 either on the aircraft or program support
  • Experience working with OSD, DSCA or SAF/IA
  • Ability to provide strategic planning, policy, resourcing, and implementation approaches
  • Outstanding writing and speaking skills
  • Master's Degree
