Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Estimator to enhance our dynamic construction team. This role is essential for managing and leading cost estimation processes for various construction projects. If you possess a robust background in commercial and general construction estimating, we encourage you to consider this opportunity. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple tasks and ensuring effective prioritization.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Estimator, your primary duties will include:
  1. Developing comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and services.
  2. Reviewing and analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to generate accurate time, cost, and labor estimates.
  3. Managing pre-construction services, including design evaluations, constructability assessments, and value engineering initiatives.
  4. Engaging in project bidding and contractor selection processes to ensure competitive pricing and quality outcomes.
  5. Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best possible pricing and contract terms.
  6. Collaborating with project management teams to track project costs and progress effectively.
  7. Providing cost-related advice and guidance to stakeholders, including recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  8. Staying informed about industry trends and advancements in construction methods, materials, and technologies.


Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Estimator position should possess a solid background in construction estimating and management, along with strong analytical skills. Required qualifications include:
  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating within commercial construction, general construction, construction management, or related fields.
  2. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  3. Demonstrated experience in managing and preparing construction project estimates and budgets.
  4. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, systems, and market dynamics.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  6. Proficient negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  7. Familiarity with estimating software and relevant computer applications.
  8. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  10. Professional certification in estimating or a related field is advantageous.
