About this role:

We're seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our Technology Consulting team. In this role, you'll collaborate with our team to help organizations streamline operations and achieve strategic goals. You'll provide project management services to internal teams and expert analysis and risk recommendations to clients. Your responsibilities will include overall leadership, task coordination, and direct responsibility for deliverables and work products. These will be completed in accordance with our strategy, approach, and methodology.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage large-scale IT projects from initiation to closure
  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
  3. Coordinate and manage project teams, including vendors and stakeholders
  4. Provide regular status updates and progress reports to stakeholders
  5. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
  6. Develop and implement effective change management strategies
  7. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  8. Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project team members
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  10. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of overall IT industry experience
  2. 5+ years of prior project management experience using both Agile and Waterfall techniques in IT-related projects to include operations, infrastructure, and application development projects
  3. State agency experience
  4. PMP certification
  5. Desired: Quality Assurance experience
  6. Must be located in the Midwest region of the US: MN, IA, NE, KS, MO, WI, ND, or SD
  7. Ability to understand both the service delivery system for programs which are administered by states and monitored by federal regulators.
  8. Ability to understand and be an expert in complex federal regulations and requirements.
  9. Strong Microsoft Office applications skills, especially data analytics (i.e. ACCESS, SQL, SPSS)
  10. Ability to use sound judgment in completing tasks and to seek guidance when needed.
  11. Attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets with accurate results.
  12. Ability to move projects forward within a specific timeline and budget while working at a detailed level.
  13. Commitment to exceptional client service.
  14. Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset.
  15. Dedication to accomplishing goals and challenges presented by clients and management.
  16. Ability to interact with various levels of management and with clients.

  20. Excellent business writing skills and ability to make presentations to various audiences.
  21. Ability to recognize issues and identify solutions.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or 5 years' experience required; Master's degree (MPA or government-focused MBA) preferred. 5+ years of relevant work experience.
