Job Summary:

The Project Accountant will be responsible for providing financial support to the Project Management team at Fincantieri Marine Repair. This role will involve daily financial interactions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Assist in the development of project budgets and forecasts, and provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Cost Management: Manage project costs, including tracking and analyzing expenses, and identifying areas for cost savings.
  • Financial Systems and Processes: Maintain and improve financial systems and processes, including financial reporting and budgeting tools.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, operations, and finance, to ensure financial information is accurate and timely.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, and identify and mitigate financial risks.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities.
