Job Summary:

Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the Radiology/Imaging Services department. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, and implement safety standards to ensure high-quality imaging results.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results to healthcare professionals.
  • Obtain and examine requisitions for radiographic examinations to ensure accurate and timely procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients, addressing concerns and alleviating anxiety.
  • Review patient conditions and determine proper exposure factors for each radiograph.
  • Demonstrate awareness of radiation safety procedures and minimize exposure to patients and self.
  • Report any unusual occurrences or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Regularly check equipment, accessories, and supplies to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology preferred.
  • Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in radiography or a related field.
  • Experience in radiologic technology or a related field; experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position working day shifts, 7-10 hours per shift, weekdays only. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
