Position Summary:

We are seeking a Process Engineer Manager who will oversee enhancements in manufacturing and facility operations across our sites. This role is pivotal in optimizing processes, equipment performance, and overall reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency using Lean methodologies and project management tools.
  • Manage outsourcing initiatives for the production of components to enhance supply chain security.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party vendors for facilities and production equipment.
  • Implement new procedures to bolster manufacturing and supply chain capabilities.
  • Analyze maintenance data to determine necessary upgrades or replacements for equipment.
  • Optimize facility layouts to enhance production flow.
  • Support the New Product Introduction team with expertise in Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly.
  • Lead automation initiatives to improve process efficiency.
  • Identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions based on extensive product knowledge.
  • Facilitate communication across various departments including Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards and regulations.
  • Manage building security programs at all facilities.
  • Conduct inspections of security and utility systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with third-party service providers and negotiate contracts as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product requirements and mentor team members.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years in a manufacturing environment with a focus on technical processes.
  • Experience with CNC machinery and metal fabrication techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of reading technical drawings.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in problem-solving.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in computer use for a significant portion of the workday.
