About the OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to practice with an expanding hospitalist service. Our hospital provides an incredible impact to the healthcare of Northwestern Connecticut. As a Hospitalist, you will work to lessen waiting in the emergency room, speed up diagnosis and treatments, reduce hospital stays while improving outcomes and continuity of care.
Responsibilities- Provide support for Primary Care Physicians and rapid response to all hospitalized patients.
- Manage a census of approximately 45 patients per day, with 5-10 admissions per day, and about 2 providers on schedule at any given moment.
- Work in a closed Intensive Care Unit with specialty support.
